Director Seb Gillmore’s beautifully shot piece for bespoke fashion designer Ossatura.
This was a tricky one to crack. We spent some time experimenting with contrasting sound palettes, trying to reflect both the traditional and contemporary sides of the brand. In the end, a solo felt piano provided the correct tone for the brand and importantly, kept the film flowing with some gentle melodic movement.

Squid Game: The Challenge
Over the course of 2023 I have been writing music for the Netflix reality series, Squid Game: The Challenge.
I was tasked with writing new music for the series, taking inspiration from the sonic world of the original drama and in some instances directly sampling it. ‘Pink Soldiers’ originally featured in the drama series, written by producer Kim Sung-soo. I was permitted to sample and re-work it in my music.

“After the sudden loss of his wife, a solitary fisherman begins seeing her spirit in a lobster he catches. As grief turns into delusion, he clings to this bizarre reunion, desperate for connection and healing in a sea of loneliness.”
I enjoyed a change from composing, providing sound design for this excellent short film, directed by George Nixon and produced by Xanvier Allison. Currently screening at festivals and set for online release in September.
August 2025 | ‘Umbra’ (the shadow)
Back in January director Seb Gillmore sent me some voice notes of Dan Avasilcai, telling the story of his journey into bodybuilding. From a childhood inspired by the great heroes of Greek mythology to a career as a champion bodybuilder. I was hooked immediately and set about creating a score to help Seb bring this story to life on film.
Such a pleasure to work on another excellent project of Seb’s, amongst an increasingly brilliant team of people!
